QualStaff Resources is a full service San Diego recruitment firm committed to building relationships with quality candidates and clients in our local market.Unlike many of the large national firms that drive candidates through an impersonal, detached application process, QualStaff Resources is a full service San Diego recruitment firm since 1998.
QualStaff Resources has created a recruitment experience designed to build a relationship between our recruiters and candidates with the belief that a better understanding of the candidate’s goals, desires, strengths and weaknesses will lead to a more profound long term job placement experience. Our recruiters are trained to offer assistance and counseling on professional resume preparation, interviewing skills, as well as communicating in-depth knowledge concerning our client’s products, work environment, etc., prior to a scheduled interview.
QualStaff Resources Candidate Recruiting Experience:
- Telephone Screening: Typically our relationship begins with a telephone call in which the candidate is responding to a QualStaff posting or our recruiter has called to speak with a candidate about a job opening. During this initial telephone call our recruiter will attempt to first understand the candidate’s desired employment goals and then briefly explain the job opening(s) available in an effort to determine if there is a preliminary match.
- In-Person Interview: Presuming a preliminary mutual interest is identified, our recruiter will schedule an in-person interview at our office. It is a policy of QualStaff Resources to interview all prospective candidates for placement in-person. We find the communication, personal connection and more intimate understanding of the candidate’s employment goals makes us much more effective both in working for the candidate, as well as our client. During this in-person interview our recruiter will review the detailed job opening(s) available, obtain important information from the candidate such as employment references, desired compensation, availability for starting work, flexibility for client interview, etc. Our experience is that after meeting in-person our recruiters and candidates communicate more easily, which is of great benefit in moving the recruitment process along to a successful conclusion.
- Resume Submission to Client: Should our recruiter and the candidate agree a particular job opening is a fit and compensation terms are established, QualStaff Resources will, and only with the advance approval of the candidate, submit the candidate’s resume to the client. Upon submitting the resume to the client QualStaff Resources will communicate with the client and offer the candidate some understanding of when they should hear back regarding a possible client interview.
- Briefing in Advance of Interview: Once a client indicates an interest in interviewing a candidate, QualStaff’s recruiter will contact the candidate and conduct a full pre-interview briefing. Our recruiter will again review the specifics of the job opening, the interview schedule, including a discussion of each client representative that will participate in the interview process. Also, our recruiter will provide an overview of the client culture, work environment, elements of the job opening that the client deems most critical, areas of expertise to emphasize, etc. QualStaff’s recruiter will also advise a candidate prior to interview not to discuss compensation, as this is a service we provide and alleviates the candidate’s concern with this element of the interview process, allowing them instead to concentrate solely on the more important element of whether the job is a good fit for the candidate.
- Post Interview Communication: Following the interview, QualStaff’s recruiter will request the candidate telephone or come by the office and provide a follow-up debriefing concerning the details of the interview. Our recruiter will want to know what was discussed at the interview, whether the candidate felt the position was a match, if there were any elements of the job as explained by the client that were not a fit, or require further explanation, and ultimately, if the job as outlined is of interest to the candidate. Presuming the candidate is interested in the position, our recruiter will attempt to establish the specific details of a job offer the candidate would require in order to accept the job, should it be offered.
- Client Offer: QualStaff Resources will manage all aspects of the communication with the client concerning an offer including the terms of employment, compensation, start date, orientation, training, etc. Our recruiter will communicate throughout this part of the process so the candidate is always completely informed as to where things stand.
- New Hire Orientation: Should the offer negotiation be successful and a start date for employment be established, QualStaff’s recruiter will set an appointment for the candidate to come to our office to sign their employment paperwork and receive a thorough orientation designed specifically to include all QualStaff Resources employment policies as well as customized on-site procedures and policies employees must follow while on the client work premises.
Of course, this is merely a summary process of what is a much more robust candidate recruitment process when considered in total. Our success as a company in the recruiting field is based on the relationships we have built with our candidates and our clients. Our pledge to you is that we will work hard on your behalf, always treat you professionally and with respect, and that we will communicate timely and effectively with you at all times throughout the candidate recruitment process.
